B.S. Degree in Animal Science or equivalent education/work experience

• Minimum 2 years sow experience
• Sow management experience
• Proficient computer skills
• Effective supervisory and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Train and develop employees to ensure attainment of production and quality goals set forth by Professional Swine Management
• Oversee financial performance by controlling costs associated with feed, supplies, and labor
• Oversee farm biosecurity program to ensure herd health
• Ensure safe working environment through training of farm employees and adherence to Professional Swine Management policies
• Maintain targets and goals for breeding and farrowing to ensure success of long term planning set forth by Professional Swine Management
• Make recommendations to management team on operational improvements
• Treat employees and vendors with dignity and respect
